Our laboratory is focused on understanding the molecular signals that regulated Neural Crest cell formation, migration and patterning of craniofacial cartilages.  We have several projects involving the signals involved in this patterning.

We have generated a novel ENU mutant that lacks all craniofacial cartilages, ghost. We are currently working on mapping this mutation and characterizing the nature of the defect.
